Getting Involved In What We Do!
Farm-To-Restaurant "PROTEIN PANEL"
August is "Farm-To-Restaurant Month" in the City of Gainesville and Alachua County. South Marion Meats was asked to sit on the new "protein panel" at the 2012 F2R Workshop & Culinary Fair, which was held at the University of Florida IFAS Extension.
The protein panel direction was toward sourcing local proteins; including local protein farmers, processors, and chefs. With the conclusion of food safety and open discussion.

We are proud to announce that South Marion Meats was awarded the 2011-2012 AWA Good Husbandry Grant toward improvements to our processing facility!
Although, with the rainy Florida weather we are behind schedule of completion, but will keep you updated as our project concludes. We would like to thank our AWA Family for this gift of improvement to our facility.
